Ross Hastings (born December 23, 1949) was an episode writer for Pingu. He worked for HiT Entertainment between 1998 - 2010, in which time he also wrote episodes for some of their other shows like "Thomas & Friends", "Bob the Builder" and "Fireman Sam". He now works for Nickelodeon and The Walt Disney Company.
