Pingu (Aardman) is an upcoming stop-motion 3D-animated television series, being a revival of the TV show of the same name, animated by Aardman Animations and produced by Mattel Television Studios. It will be co-developed by Sarah Cox and Alan Thorpe for Aardman, and Sidney Clifton, Rob David and Melanie Shannon for Mattel Television Studios.[1]

  • This will be the first Pingu production to use the stop-motion style of animation for the first time in 17 years.
  • This will be the first Pingu production to be animated by Aardman Animations. The studio previously launched a collaborative event and exhibition in Japan called "Pingu & Shaun Fun Times at Home" on December 1st, 2021. Promotional material showcased a new Pingu clay model created by Andy Spradbery and Danny Heffer. [2] [3]
