
Pingu-Dance is a song produced/written by Vic Vergeat and performed by David Hasselhoff. Despite only being released in Switzerland, it is sung in English. It was later used for Seasons 3 & 4's intro and outro, and the redubbed version of Seasons 1 & 2.

- Throughout the song, dialogue from the show can be heard.
- David Hasselhoff made this song because of his love for Pingu.
- A Flemish Dutch version of the Pingu Dance (Pingu Dans) also exists, sang by Chris Van Tongelen and exclusively released for the Flandern region of Belgium in 1995. This version was included in the remastered version of Pingu Looks After the Egg, replacing Woodpeckers from Space, albeit with most of the vocals save for the female singer and main chorus removed.
- It's unknown why this version was utilized rather than the original, though it can be assumed it was easier to pay royalties to Van Tongelen than Hasselhoff.
- The instrumental version was released on a Single CD to Switzerland in 1993 and Belgium in 1995.
- A rare exclusive music video was created at the end of the 1993 Swiss/German VHS release of Pingu de Entdecker (Pingu the Explorer) which features clips from various episodes of the first season. However, this music video wasn’t included on the 1994 Australian VHS release of Pingu the Explorer.
