PBS Kids Sprout (renamed Sprout in 2013 and Universal Kids in 2017) was the name of the preschool block originally their program block until 2017 on Universal Kids, an American digital cable and satellite television network that is owned by the NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment Group subsidiary of NBCUniversal, all owned by Comcast. They aired Pingu from September 26, 2005, to April 23, 2009.[1][2]
The episodes, "Pingu is Introduced", "Pingu Runs Away from Home", "Pingu's Lavatory Story", "Pingu's First Kiss" and "Pingu Quarrels with His Mother" aired on Sprout when it first launched, but were then banned from the channel due to the material involved.
