
This section is for minor characters who appear in Pingu and Pingu in the City, listed in alphabetical order. They were all voiced by the late, Carlo Bonomi, David Sant, the late, Marcello Magni, and Fumiya Tanaka.
The Angry Penguin[]
The Angry Penguin is a character that only appeared in Pingu's Admirer. He got angry when Pingu accidentally threw a snowball through his window which caused Pingu and Pingi to hide in a barrel. He is voiced by the late, Carlo Bonomi.

The Arcade Attendant only appeared in Pingu Loses the Bet.
The Baker[]
The Baker is one of Pingu's family's neighbours who works at Mother Peng-Pride's Bakery. He looks very similar to Pingu's Father but with a smaller beak. He is voiced by the late, Carlo Bonomi.

The Bee is a character who appeared in the Pingu in the City episode Buzz Off!.

The Cactus Seller is a penguin who owns the Cactus stall. He only appeared in Pingu and the Toy Shop.

The Disabled Penguin is a young penguin who cannot walk and uses a wheelchair as a result.
She only appeared in Pingu and the Game of Fish.

The Candy Seller[]

The Candy Seller only appeared in Pingu Gets Carried Away. He is an character who works at the Candy Shop that Pingu smashed his store.
The Doorbell Seller[]

The Doorbell Seller is a character that only appeared in the Season 5 episode, Pingu and the Doorbell. He works at the Doorbell store and replaced Pingu's Doorbell when it broke.
The Drink Seller[]

The Drink Seller only appeared in the episode, Little Accidents.
The Famous Artist[]

The Famous Artist is best known for carving the mayor's statue and painting some of the South Pole's most well-known portraits. He once also judged an ice sculpture competition.

The Mayor[]

The Mayor is a penguin who is the head of Antarctica. He only appeared in Pingu and the Paint.

Miss Pengan-Decker runs a hardware shop. She only appeared in Pingu and the Barrel Organ.
Mother Peng-Pride[]

Mother Peng-Pride is the owner of The Bakery. She first appeared in Pingu and the Barrel Organ.

Mr. Penga-Brass[]
Mr. Penga-Brass is a penguin who only appears in Pingu Delivers the Mail. He appears when Pingu's Father gives him a letter regarding some sad news about his relative's death, he starts to get tears in his eyes, causing Pingu to be upset, but his father comforts him.
Not much is known about him, so it's hard to tell what his personality is.
Trivia[]
- He was only named in the The Adventures of Pingu, and in said audio cassette, it is stated that his deceased family member has allowed him to inherit his iceberg. The black outline on the letter confirming this news indicates that the late relative was at war/overseas at the time, as this was process for such letters dating back to the nineteenth century. The fact of his relative's passing is further indicated in the new version due to the addition of a somber horn piece playing over the scene when the letter is visible.
- In the original version of Pingu Delivers the Mail, he has no dialogue, in the redubbed version, he has a few moaning sounds added in.
Mr. Penganaide[]

Mr. Penganaide is an obese penguin which owns The Bar. He first appeared in Pingu and the Barrel Organ. He is voiced by the late, Carlo Bonomi.

Mr. Pengatel[]

Mr. Pengatel is a fishmonger. He once gave some fish to Pingu when he played Mr. Peng-Hoven's barrel organ outside his shop. He is voiced by the late, Carlo Bonomi.

Mr. Pengelope[]

Mr. Pengelope is in charge of The Post Office. He organises the mail for Pingu's Father to take out on his post rounds.

Pengy’s Mum[]

Pengy's Mum is a mother of Pengy and his little sister who only appeared in Pingu at the Funfair in season 2.

Pingg's Father[]

Pingg's Father first appeared in Pingu Has a Day Off, when his son was busy helping him with the firewood. He also made short cameo in Pingu's Windy Day. He looks a lot like Pingg, but naturally is much taller.
Pingi's Mother[]

Pingi's Mother is shown once in Pingu at the Wedding Party and later in Pingu Has a Day Off. She looks very much like her daughter. She reappeared in one segment from The Pingu Show. She is voiced by the late, Carlo Bonomi & the late, Marcello Magni.

Pingo's Grandfather is only shown in the episode Pingu Has a Day Off. He looks similar to Pingo and has glasses. He seems to own a fish stand.

Mr. Pengthwaite[]

Mr. Pengthwaite is Pingo's Father and is only shown twice in the entire series. He appears in Pingu Delivers the Mail and makes a cameo in Pingu at the Funfair. He has a short round beak unlike his son who has a long beak.
The Polar Bear[]

The Polar Bear is a character that is only seen in the Hugo short and in a segment in Otmar Gutmann's showreel. The Polar Bear never appeared in the series possibly because polar bears and penguin are not native to the same country, although he did appear in some Pingu merchandise.

Polly is a female polar bear that only appears in the Pingu Loves English series of videos.

- Unlike other characters, she is portrayed by a puppet.
- She is the only character that speaks fluent English in any official Pingu media.

The Referee is a character that only appeared in Ice Hockey. He is voiced by the late, Carlo Bonomi.

The Reporter appeared in Pingu in The City episodes Pingu's Frozen Discovery and I Want to be on TV!.
The Salesman[]
The Salesman is one of Pingu's family's neighbours whose job involves selling or promoting commercial products, either in a shop or when visiting locations to get orders. He also has different jobs like working at the museum seen in Pingu's Discovery or as a doctor seen in Pingu Pretends to be Ill and Pingu Helps Grandfather. He is voiced by the late, Carlo Bonomi.
He looks very similar to Pingu's maternal grandpa, but with a bigger beak.

The Thief is a character in Pingu in the City who appeared in The Big Blue Chase and Pingu on Patrol!. He is voiced by Fumiya Tanaka.

The Toy Shop Owner first appeared in Pingu and the Present. He works at the Toy Shop.

The Yellow Beaked Penguin[]
The Yellow Beaked Penguin first appeared in Pingu Makes a Mistake when Pingu and Pingo follow the path taken by the egg into her igloo.
Later, when Pingu's Aunt was horrified because she saw the newborn chick has a yellow beak that wasn't hers, Pingu figured out the mistake he made, and they go straight back to the other mother penguin's igloo.
In Pingu and the Rubberband Plane, she has her own food stand.

Yellow Creature[]

The Yellow Creature only appeared in one short from Gutmann's showreel. In the short, Hugo is messing with a tube and accidentally splatters the yellow creature.
The Strangers[]

The Strangers are two penguins that came to the South Pole from across the sea.
Bio[]
When they first came, most of the penguins of Antarctica were completely terrified of them as they fled from them in terror and treated these two outsiders with a great deal of suspicion. Pingu was the only exception, and was most impressed at their fishing techniques and before the day of their arrival was out, the two strangers were instantly being welcomed with open wings into the Antarctic community.

Pengy's Little Sister[]

Pengy's Little Sister only appeared in Pingu at the Funfair.
Bajoo's Mother[]

Bajoo's Mother is a very large yeti. We never got to see her face.

She looks very similar to her son, but she is way bigger. She wears magenta earmuffs and a magenta scarf. Though we do not know what her full face looks like as we have only ever see her from the back, it is presumably very similar to Bajoo's.

Pingu in the City - Helping a New Friend
The Strikers[]

The Strikers are three penguins who are professional and aggressive hockey players.
Bio[]
When they first saw Pingu, Robby and Pongi, one of them asks if they would like to join in as their rival team. As the three young friends get kitted out, they feel sure that will crush their new rivals easily. When Pingu manages to outwit the Professional's goal keeper and gets a goal and they woop for joy over their small success.
They became furious at being outwitted by a wannabe team who can not stop celebrating and annoying them. So on the next try, they play aggressively by knocking them with their putts, forcing them into the corners and sides, and so on to ensure they do not win. After Pingu and his friends decided to quit, the striker were feeling bad about what they did, they discard their hockey equipment too and join them with what they are doing, which happens to be figure skating and they have the most fun they have all day together.
