www.pingu.net (formerly hitentertainment.com/pingu) was the official Pingu website. On the first page of the entire website, the viewer could select their language by clicking on 1 of the 7 flags surrounding a snowman. The main selections were: UK, USA, Canada, France, Switzerland, Germany and Japan. Clicking on all the flags exept for the United Kingdom and Japan flags would display an intro which shows Pingu rolling into a ball landing, he then walks to the viewer. Looking at his Family he yells a Noot Noot at them, in which the intro focuses on Robby, Pingu's Father, Pingu's Mother, Pinga, and Pingi for a split second. Then focusing on Pingu, he makes a smile with his beak and the intro ends focusing away from him. The intro uses the Küchenchef theme tune used for Season 1-Season 2 High-Pitched. As of 2016, all the Pingu websites are currently in maintenance, except the Japanese one, which could mean that Mattel may bring Pingu in the City to the aforementioned countries. As of 2018, all of the Pingu websites (with the exception of the Japanese website) redirect to the Mattel website and have been closed down.

Japanese Website[]

It is the first official website of Pingu, launched in 1998.[1] The website has had many redesigns over the years. This version focuses mainly on the "market", where Japanese users can buy Pingu merchandise. It also contains a few flashes consisting of animations. On September 5th 2017, it was redesigned to promote Pingu in the City.

UK Website[]

At the start, you have the option to give your name or skip to the main menu, where you can watch videos, play games, shop for Pingu merchandise and find out all sorts of facts about the little penguin. Somewhere in 2018, the website has been closed down by Mattel and is now redirected to Mattel's website as there wasn't an explanation as to why Mattel got rid of both sites.

US Website[]

The main menu shows a map of Pingu's neighbourhood. Back then, you could click on any part of the estate and Pingu will show you what you can find there. Just like the UK website, this website has also been redirected to Mattel's website for the same reason and the same year.
